What Is the ACLS Skills Session?
The ACLS Skills Session is a hands-on, in-person testing session designed for healthcare professionals who have already completed the HeartCode ACLS online course. This session validates your advanced cardiovascular life support skills under the guidance of an AHA-certified instructor. Megacode Testing
Demonstrate your ability to manage a simulated cardiac arrest scenario integrating all ACLS algorithms and interventions.
Rhythm Recognition
Identify and respond to cardiac rhythms including VF, VT, asystole, PEA, bradycardia, and tachycardia on the monitor.
Team Dynamics
Practice effective communication, leadership, and role assignment during high-performance team resuscitation scenarios.

Prerequisites
You must complete the HeartCode ACLS online course through the AHA before attending this in-person skills session. Bring your HeartCode ACLS online completion certificate to your testing appointment.
Duration & Format
The skills session takes approximately 2-3 hours and is conducted entirely in person. You will practice and be tested on megacode scenarios, rhythm recognition, airway management, and team dynamics.
Pricing & Certification
Upon successful completion, you receive an official AHA ACLS Provider eCard valid for two years. This certification is accepted by all hospitals, clinics, and licensing boards nationwide.

ACLS Skills Session Questions
You must bring your HeartCode ACLS online course completion certificate or confirmation email. Without proof of completing the online portion, you will not be able to participate in the skills testing session.
The ACLS skills session typically takes 2-3 hours to complete. This includes time for practice, skills stations, and the megacode testing scenario. Session length may vary depending on group size.
If you do not pass on your first attempt, your instructor will provide remediation and additional practice time. You will have the opportunity to retest during the same session. Our instructors are committed to helping you succeed.
No. The ACLS skills session is only the hands-on testing component. It is designed for students who have already completed the HeartCode ACLS online course. If you need the full course including classroom instruction, check our ACLS Provider or ACLS Renewal classes instead.
