The American Heart Association offers basic training in First Aid which fulfills job requirements & other requirements for professional healthcare programs. This course does not require any prior medical training.

Heartsaver First Aid Course Curriculum

  • Manage illnesses and injuries in a timely manner for a child and infant
  • First aid basics (use of Epipens & Use, removal, and disposal of gloves)
  • Medical, injury & environmental emergencies
  • Controlling bleeding & bandaging (use a of a tourniquet)
  • Other emergencies: shock, internal bleeding & burns 
  • Dehydration, diabetes & low blood sugar
  • heat-and cold-related emergencies, drowning,
  • Amputations, broken bones and sprains, nose bleeds
  • Bites & splinters
  • Fainting, seizures, and injuries to the head, eyes, neck, spine, mouth, and teeth.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Class Description

The American Heart Association provides Heartsaver CPR courses for anyone who is not a medical personnel. This course is designed to fulfill a job requirement or for anyone who wants to be prepared incase of an emergency. This course provides the most updated information per AHA guidelines.

In each Heartsaver CPR AED FirstAid course students are trained to recognize an emergency, seek for help & perform CPR in a timely manner. The student is also trained on how to use an automated external defibrillator(AED) safely. Additionally, students are taught first aid basics and medical, injury & environmental emergencies

BLS Skills Class Description

The BLS skills course is our hands-on portion of AHA blended eLearning. The AHA blended eLearning portion can be found directly through the American Heart Association website (Online + Hands-on).

Keep in mind the online portion can take anywhere from 2 to 3 hours to complete.

Feel free to contact us to discuss which option is best for you.
All students must complete the online portion before attending class and must present the Certification of completion to the BLS skills instructor.
The American Heart Association, BLS Skills session, is only a hands-on portion and must be completed in person.
