Accessibility Statement
How we build, test, and maintain qkchealth.com for accessibility — and how to tell us when something does not work.
Last reviewed: August 20, 2026
Our Commitment
QKC Health LLC wants everyone to be able to find class information, read our course details, and reach us to book training. We treat accessibility as part of building and releasing this website rather than as an afterthought.
Conformance Benchmark
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Levels A and AA, as the technical benchmark for qkchealth.com. WCAG 2.2 is the current W3C Recommendation.
This statement describes the standard we build against and the testing we perform. It is not a certification, a legal opinion, or a guarantee that every page is free of accessibility defects. The Americans with Disabilities Act does not itself specify a version of WCAG, and we do not describe this site as “ADA certified.”
Scope
This statement covers the public pages of qkchealth.com, including the home page, class pages, service-area pages, the contact form, and these legal pages. It does not cover materials published by the American Heart Association or other third parties that we link to but do not control.
Measures We Take
- Semantic HTML and native controls, with one main landmark and one page heading per page
- Full keyboard operation, visible focus indicators, and logical focus order, including the mobile navigation drawer and expandable FAQ sections
- Text alternatives for meaningful images, with decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology
- Form labels, grouped instructions, and validation messages that are announced to screen readers
- Color contrast, meaning that does not depend on color alone, and touch targets of at least 44 by 44 CSS pixels where practical
- Support for 200% text resize, increased text spacing, reflow at 320 CSS pixels, and reduced-motion preferences
- Automated accessibility regression checks that run against the site source before every release
We do not use an accessibility overlay or widget. Overlays do not repair the underlying markup, and we prefer to correct the markup itself.
Testing
Our release process combines automated source checks with manual testing. Manual testing covers keyboard-only operation, focus order and restoration, responsive layouts at mobile and desktop breakpoints, text resize and spacing, and contrast. Screen-reader testing uses NVDA with Chrome or Firefox on Windows, or VoiceOver with Safari on macOS.
Known Limitations
We are aware of the following limitations and would rather state them than leave them undisclosed:
- Third-party components. Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse prevention and Formspree for delivery. We test these as part of the booking flow, but their internal behavior is controlled by those vendors and can change without notice.
- Linked third-party content. Course materials, certification records, and other resources hosted by the American Heart Association or other organizations are outside our control.
- Ongoing work. We add pages and content regularly, so a defect can reach the site between releases. That is why the reporting route below matters.
Reporting an Accessibility Problem
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us. Include the page address and a short description of what happened, and we will work with you to get you the information or the booking you need.
