## BLS Renewal Course Questions

### Who is eligible for the BLS Renewal course?

The BLS Renewal course is for healthcare providers who hold a current or recently expired AHA BLS Provider card. If your card has been expired for an extended period or you have never held a BLS certification, you will need to take the full BLS Provider course instead.

### How long does the BLS Renewal course take?

The BLS Renewal course takes about 4 hours, including breaks. It is shorter than the full BLS Provider course because it focuses on reviewing updated guidelines and reinforcing skills rather than teaching all content from the beginning.

### When should I renew my BLS certification?

We recommend scheduling your BLS renewal before your current card expires to avoid any gaps in your certification. AHA BLS Provider certification is valid for two years. Many employers require active certification at all times, so plan ahead and book your renewal class early.

### Do I need to bring anything to the renewal class?

Please bring your current or most recent AHA BLS Provider eCard or physical card. This helps verify your eligibility for the renewal course. If you cannot locate your card, contact us before the class and we can help verify your certification status.

### Can you provide on-site BLS renewal classes for our staff?

Yes. QKC Health provides on-site BLS renewal classes at hospitals, clinics, dental offices, and other healthcare facilities throughout Connecticut for groups of 3 or more. We bring all equipment and can schedule sessions around your staff schedule. Contact us to arrange on-site renewal training.
