She is the co-owner and co-founder of Live Smart Pharmacy in North Bergen, New Jersey. Dr. Patel earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and went on to complete her Doctor of Pharmacy at Notre Dame of Maryland University. It was during pharmacy school that a guiding principle took root: the commitment to helping develop professionals who can think critically, lead with compassion, and serve their communities. There, she provided medical assistance and lifesaving instruction to women and children who lacked access to basic healthcare knowledge. These experiences abroad ignited a deep commitment to making health education accessible to all. ### Personal Tragedies That Shaped a Mission Two personal experiences crystallized Quinee's dedication to teaching CPR and emergency response skills: Her uncle collapsed on a cruise ship. Despite the efforts of those on board, delayed CPR proved fatal. The experience underscored how critical immediate response training is in saving lives. A 44-year-old friend collapsed while shopping. A nurse nearby immediately administered CPR and used an AED, leading to a full recovery. This event demonstrated the power of proper training and swift action. ### The Difference Between Life and Death These two contrasting outcomes became the driving force behind QKC Health. Quinee saw firsthand that the difference between life and death often comes down to whether someone nearby knows CPR.
